There's lots of spawing going on this month. Largemouth, Whitebass and Black Crappie. Fishing for bedding bass is a controversial topic...I for one enjoy it. I never ever keep bass I catch during the spawn, a quick picture and weighing her and she's back in the water.  If she is a trophy I recommend a fiberglass mount and let her live to populate the lake with her special genes.  The bass on Roberts spawn behind grass lines , on road beds, shallow humps and sheltered areas out of the wind and always between the bank and an object, such as trees, bushes, car tires and rocks. I advise you to turn off your electronics, use your trolling motor sparingly and achor or tie up. My favorite baits are : lizards, craworm, tubes and super fluke. Hard baits: all you need is a Rouge and a Hotspot. My clients have caught 42 bass over 7 lbs. in April. It's only going to get better in May. The whitebass are just awesome ! They are gathering thick in the mouth of the north creeks. It is a great time to bring someone to get them hooked on fishing.
