Let's Go Fishing !!

Oh Man I love this month !!
There is still some spawning going on the south side of the lake and believe it or not the north end as well. Everything is late this year. The bass in the north area of Ray Roberts are feeding up to get their strength back after spawning. They haven't eaten for weeks and now they are ravenous. Buzz baits early, chugers and stick baits will a lot of attention. By 9:00 am flukes, sinkos and trick worms will work. I recommend spinnerbaits around any Cedars you can find. By noon I like a medium diving crankbait. Such as a 15+ Mann's in Alabama shad. If you have a sunny day find some Milfoil or Hydrilla or flooded veggies and use weightless lizards and sticko's at the edge. From 2pm on I like to throw a heavy leaf spinnerbait. Reel it slow until it boggs up then snap your rod up hard causing it to rip away from the grass. Slow down reeling and let bogg up again. When it rips loose that's when BIG mamma will nail it. I offer instructional classes on the water. If you want to learn a new technique or just learn to navigate the lake. Bring your map and GPS. I'll help mark your map. I have no secrets from a paying client. Week-ends book first. If you have certain days you want to fish please plan ahead.
Good casting,
RUDY LACKEY
